Phat Pasties - Hot And Tempting
Phat is a slang word derived from the rap idiom of hip hop culture to mean 'sexy or cool'. We believe this is a brand and business that is both of these!
The idea was conceived by Laura Clark who was looking for a business idea that could fit around her lifestyle as a working mum. Having worked in the restaurant and catering industry all her career, she wanted a business of her own to set up and operate. Supported by her husband, Paul, who has been in franchising for the past fifteen years, they have developed a ready-made business that can be operated by franchisees working from home. Central to the brand's positioning is the commitment to providing 'homemade' and high quality products.
Award-winning traditional Cornish pasties, which are handmade near Newquay, are baked off each day on the Phat Van. Home-made sandwiches, baguettes and salads and a range of home-made soups combine to ensure a menu of the highest quality. Prices from just £1.50 - £3.00 provide a great value morning or lunchtime snack at a price our customers keep coming back for. Packaging has been created to be, wherever possible, recycled and environmentally friendly, with the distinctive Phat Pasty logo and branding, re-inforcing the brand image and quality to our customers.
